Dr. Robert R. Cowie is a 1976 graduate of Northwestern University Dental School, attending as a recipient of a U.S. Naval scholarship. Following four years of active duty in the U.S. Navy Dental Corps, he began practicing in Jacksonville. He has been in the same location in Jacksonville since 1980.

He is a member of the ADA, American Equilibration Society, American and Florida Academies of Dental Practice Administration, Pierre Fauchard Academy, and Toastmaster’s International, as well as a Fellow in the AGD and American College of Dentists. Dr. Cowie has also served as President of the Jacksonville Dental Society and on the Executive Cabinet of the Florida Academy of Dental Practice Administration.

He has completed the continuums at the Dawson Center for Advanced Dental Studies, the Pankey Institute, and the Society for Occlusal Studies. He is a frequent lecturer at dental society meetings and study groups throughout the country.
